Being a R & D (Research & Development) coordinator of the Information Technology Department, I'd like to take this chance to expose you to the Department's R&D culture. R & D is essential to any educational institution. Research and development produces novel concepts and applications that are useful to society. All facets of society are now occupied by several disciplines, such as networks, information security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, computer vision, Augmented Reality etc. We teachers take on a responsibility to mold our students' potential through various channels since we think they have enormous innovative potential. Through various R&D cell-led initiatives, we always place a priority on encouraging students to develop their research skills and innovative thinking. Special interest groups (SIGs) have been developed to cooperate research among academics and students with similar research interests in order to promote the culture of continuous learning. To provide teachers and students with the most recent technological capabilities, these SIGs sponsor various workshops and training sessions.
