The Information Technology department organized a parent-teacher meeting for the parents of Second Year, Third Year, and Final Year B.Tech Engineering students on 12th September 2025 at 02.00 PM in 5304 classroom, which was attended by 50+ parents. Dr. Jayashree Katti, Head of the Department, Dr. Rajesh Phursule, Academic Coordinator along with all class teachers, faculty members, and parents, attended the meeting.

The meeting formally began with the warm welcome by Mrs. Mukta Jamage. The Academic Coordinator Dr. Rajesh Phursule provided the information about the overall academics. Further, Dr. Harsha Bhute, Research and Development coordinator highlighted the department’s research and development achievements. Department Exam Coordinator Mrs. Babita Jane gave the insights of Exam pattern, schedule and related information to it. The Industry Institute Interaction coordinator Mrs. Sphurti Deshmukh gave information about placement cell, activities arranged for improving students placements. Mrs. Alpana Borse, On Job Training coordinator shared overall guidelines about internships. The previous years first 3 toppers from First Year, Second Year and Third Year are being felicitated for their outstanding academic performance. The Head of the Department (HOD) Dr. Jayashree Katti provided insights into various facets during the meeting, which included:

  • An overview of past academic activities carried out in the previous year.
  • A glimpse into the planned activities for the ongoing academic year.
  • Detailed information about the Information Technology department's guiding principles.
  • An explanation of the teaching methodologies employed.
  • Highlights of the achievements by students and faculty members in the academic year 2024-2025.

  • The steps taken to promote the overall development of students.

The presentation of departmental information was followed by a fruitful interaction, during which parental inquiries were effectively resolved. It was also assured that both the department and the college remain committed to providing comprehensive support to address any concerns or needs raised by parents. A productive and engaging session took place, resulting in valuable suggestions and feedback from parents. It's worth noting that nearly all parents expressed their appreciation for the college's dedicated efforts and expressed satisfaction with their child's academic advancement.

Following this, the Head of the Department (HOD) encouraged parents to actively participate in their child's education by staying connected with teachers through regular parent-teacher meetings. After the main meeting, parents had the opportunity to meet with their child's respective class teachers to discuss their progress. In light of this, parents were kindly requested to ensure their child's diligent preparation for exams, aiming for a minimum score of 60%, while also keeping a close eye on their attendance. Lastly, feedback and Parent Survey forms were collected from the parents for further improvement and communication. The meeting concluded with expressions of gratitude.

The Department of Information Technology & Computer Engineering (Regional Language) (SWC), Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), hosted an enlightening session titled “The Power of Meditation” on Friday, 12th September 2025. The session, led by Yoga Instructor Mrs. Sachita Shelke, took place from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in CR 5303, IT Department, Building No. 5. The program aimed to raise awareness about the significance of meditation in stress management, concentration enhancement, and overall well-being. Mrs. Sachita Shelke provided practical meditation techniques and elaborated on their benefits for everyday life. A total of 31 students—21 from the IT Department and 10 from the Computer Engineering (Regional Language) Department—actively engaged in the session. Participants found the experience both refreshing and informative, gaining valuable insights into integrating meditation into their daily routines. The event concluded successfully, with attendees expressing positive feedback and commending the department for its commitment to promoting wellness-focused initiatives

Outcomes: • Participants gained practical knowledge of simple meditation techniques.
• Students realized the significance of incorporating meditation into their daily routine.
• The session created a positive and peaceful environment, leaving participants refreshed and motivate.

FY M.Tech Induction Program” for A.Y. 2024-25 is arranged on 28th September 2024 from 09:30am -11:30 pm at Microprocessor and IOT Lab, 5th Floor Admin Building. All the F. Y. Students with PG Coordinator, Department Pillars and HoD invited to this Induction Program followed by Refreshment at 09:00 am in IOT Lab of IT Department. The Induction Program for the FYM.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science branch is designed to familiarize new students with the program, set expectations, and introduce them to the core aspects of the field.

Information Technology Department has organized one week faculty development program on “Light UP the IoT : Hands-on Approach” is conducted on 23rd to 28th September 2024 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. Faculty Development Program on “Light UP the loT : Hands-on Approach” aimed to providing faculty members with an in-depth understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT). It likely covered topics such as IoT fundamentals, device connectivity, sensors and actuators, cloud computing, and applications in various industries. The program would have included technical workshops, hands-on sessions, and discussions on recent trends and developments in IoT technology to help faculty enhance their teaching and research in this domain.



On completion of the workshop:

  • Participants were gain knowledge of IoT Fundamentals and Practical knowledge of how sensors collect data and actuators respond, and how these components integrate with IoT platforms.

Furthermore, the parents received insights from the SDW (Student Development and Welfare) coordinator, Dr. Ashwini Ladekar, and the coordinator for the third year, Dr. Rajesh Phursule.

PCCOE, Information Technology Students celebrated Teachers Day on September 5, 2023 to express the deepest gratitude by the students to their loving teachers for igniting their passion and guiding them on path to success. Students took center stage to honor dedicated educators with heartfelt speeches and organized entertaining games that brought laughter and joy to their mentors. Dr.Sonali Patil, HODIT motivated students, emphasized the importance of learning, respect for our teachers, and the significance of education in our lives. The entire staff member overwhelmed by the celebration it was a delightful break and a chance for all the staff members to enjoy some well-deserved fun. Happy Teachers Day!!

The Department of Information Technology has organized a "First session on Co teaching by industry expert on subject Augmented Reality and virtual Reality" for Final Year B.Tech Students for their professional elective AR/VR subjects. The Session aimed to aware students about recent technology and practical usage in industry. Session was very interactive and Students have interacted with expert by asking their doubts.

The Information Technology department recently conducted a successful orientation session on Project Based Learning (PBL) and a workshop on Front-End development on May 09, 2023. The session was aimed at equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to engage in project-based learning in the field of Information Technology. The workshop focused on the practical application of front-end development techniques and tools to develop user-friendly websites and applications. Overall, the PBL orientation session and Front-End development workshop were a resounding success and demonstrated the department's commitment to empowering individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital age.

Department of Information Technology organized an offline 3 days workshop on “Model Building Using Deep Learning” freely for PCCOE college students of all streams.The workshop aimed at imparting knowledge and training on the fundamentals of interdisciplinary field of deep learning with its different aspects and applications. The main objective was to make the participants familiar with basics python programming, deep learning fundamentals, and hands on building the deep learning model using ANN and CNN. Total 30 participants registered for the workshop from different streams.
